Couple looking for a getaway
We stayed in a cozy cottage, had a beautiful view of the sea from our little balcony, and the upstairs room made us feel like we were on a retreat. The staff were super friendly, they really looked after us, even when we had a great meal in the pub downstairs.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive but for what we got, I think it was alright.

The Caledonian Inn offers great value with a standard that impresses. Its location is prime, right in the center of town, with a bustling atmosphere that includes a restaurant, pub, and bottle shop onsite. I particularly appreciated the roominess of the cottage accommodations. they were quaint and very close to the beach, providing easy access to local attractions. The recommendation for Cottage 14 is spot on for those seeking quieter surroundings and the best ocean views.
Noise from the beer garden can be disruptive, especially at night.

Expectations were low for a single night, but the welcoming vibe felt more like staying with family. The shared bathroom was impressively clean, and the room, although basic, was comfortable. The highlight was the delicious dinner and delightful fruit salad offered, along with a great coffee spot nearby. the old wooden doors and narrow passages made navigation tricky, and fluctuations in service could be improved.
